This is an original Collection of paintings by Cinnamon Cooney. Here you will find art of horses swimming in or under water. My work will often have a narrative that will remain unresolved leaving the viewer to determine the outcome. The Paintings have a feeling of flowing accidental almost abstract elements, polarized by tightly conceived components. It is my intention through this dynamic presentation to construct a romantic and gothic re-telling of common stories. Influenced by the great artists of the southwest my creative DNA stems from a life lived with horses by the sea growing up.
First of all I love the turquoise you used for your site. What an original idea of painting a horse swimming! I take photos of my brother’s mule’s eyes. Your capture of these eyes is exciting! Each one tells a powerful story.
